FAQ

Do I need technical knowledge to start?

No.
You don’t need to understand websites, hosting, or platforms.
We handle the technical side — you focus on your photography.

What is the difference between a Photographer Profile and a Website?

A Photographer Profile is your first step — a personal page hosted within Lcameras.
A Website is your own independent space on your own domain.

Both are built on the same foundation, so nothing is lost if you move forward later.

Can I start with a Profile and move to a Website later?

Yes — this is exactly how the system is designed.

Your profile can be expanded or migrated into a personal website without rebuilding everything or paying twice for the same work.

How long does it take?
  • Profile:
About 30 minutes of your time. Published within 24 hours.

  • Template-based Website:
A few hours of your attention over a couple of days.
We usually deliver within one week.

  • Custom Website:
Timeline depends on scope and is discussed individually.
Who owns the website and the content?

You do.

Your website, domain, and content are yours — technically and legally.
We don’t lock you into a closed system.

What technology do you use?

We work with WordPress, intentionally.

It’s open, proven, and widely supported.
This means you’re never dependent on us — you can continue with another specialist at any time if you choose.

Can my website grow later?

Yes.

Your website can later include:

  • portfolios and series
  • written stories or essays
  • yearly archives
  • selling prints or digital products
  • workshops, talks, or events

You don’t need to decide everything at the start.

Do you help with domain and hosting?

Yes, we guide you through choosing and setting them up.

The domain and hosting are paid by you directly — so you fully own them.
We assist, configure, and connect everything.

Is this only for Leica photographers?

Lcameras was born from the Leica Community, but the platform itself is open.

What matters is the approach, not the brand name.

What if I’m not sure which option to choose?

Start simple.

Most people begin with a Photographer Profile and expand only when it feels right.
You can always add options later — nothing is lost.

Is there any pressure to continue or upgrade?

No.

You can pause, stay where you are, or move forward — entirely on your terms.
